DESCRIPTION:<p>TThe Emmanuel College Philosophy Club is pleased to announce our&nbsp\;<strong>5th Annual Boston Undergraduate Philosophy Conference</strong> featuring keynote speaker\, Dr. Dana Francisco Miranda\, assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Massachusetts\, Boston ( (https://www.danafmiranda.com/)</p>\n<p>We welcome papers in any area of philosophy suitable for a 20-minute talk (4000 word maximum). However\,&nbsp\;<strong>papers which address issues related to identity are encouraged</strong>. Each paper will receive comments from a member of the Emmanuel College Philosophy Club (limited to 10 minutes) and will be followed by a question and answer session for 15 minutes. All undergraduate students are eligible to submit papers although&nbsp\;<strong>we strongly recommend that students from Greater Boston as well as from underrepresented groups participate in the conference</strong>.</p>\n<p>Papers must be submitted as a Word (.docx) document or a PDF (.pdf) file and be prepared for blind review.</p>\n<p>Please include a separate cover sheet with your full name\, paper title\, university or college\, e-mail address\, and phone number.</p>\n<p>Send papers to&nbsp\;<a href="mailto:mottr@emmanuel.edu">mottr@emmanuel.edu</a>&nbsp\;by the end of Wednesday<strong>\, April 5th\, 2023.&nbsp\;</strong>Notification of acceptance will be by Friday\, April 7th\, 2023.</p>\n<p>The&nbsp\;<strong>Annual Boston Undergraduate Philosophy Conference&nbsp\;</strong>is a completely student-run conference with undergraduate students handling all facets of operation.</p>\n<p>For further questions\, contact&nbsp\;<a href="mailto:philosophyclub@emmanuel.edu">philosophyclub@emmanuel.edu</a></p>\n<p>We look forward to reading your papers!</p>
