DESCRIPTION:<p>We welcome abstracts for the The Mainz Seminar in Early Modern Philosophy / Mainzer Seminar zur Philosophie der Neuzeit. The seminar aims at bringing together advanced students and scholars working in early modern philosophy (roughly from Bacon to Kant). Contributions on pre-Kantian philosophy is especially encouraged\, but there are no other preferences as to subject matters.<br><br>Papers can be read in English or German. Please send abstracts of around 500 words to Falk Wunderlich (wunder@mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de</a>). DEADLINE: 31 August 2013.</p>\n<p>Part of the event is a symposium on Udo Thiel&rsquo\;s book &bdquo\;The Early Modern Subject&ldquo\; (Oxford 2011) with contributions by Christian Barth (HU Berlin)\, Martin Lenz (Groningen)\, Ursula Renz (Klagenfurt) and Falk Wunderlich (Mainz).</p>
