DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Graduate conference in contemporary political philosophy\, Universit&eacute\; Paris 1 Panth&eacute\;on-Sorbonne</strong></p>\n<p><strong>December 13th\, 2013</strong></p>\n<p><strong></strong><strong>Call for papers</strong></p>\n\n\n<p>The research laboratory &ldquo\;Norms\, Societies and Philosophies&rdquo\; (NoSoPhi) organizes a graduate conference in contemporary political philosophy at the Universit&eacute\; Paris 1 Panth&eacute\;on-Sorbonne (Paris\, France) on <strong>December 13</strong><strong>th</strong><strong> 2013</strong>. </p>\n\n<p>The conference aims at giving young scholars the opportunity to compare and assess the various methods and leading questions at the forefront of contemporary political philosophy by presenting a paper on their current research.</p>\n\n<p>We welcome papers on any topic related to contemporary political philosophy\, such as:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>&nbsp\;Power\, authority\, legitimacy </li>\n<li>Domination and exploitation </li>\n<li>Equality and inequalities</li>\n<li>Theories of rights</li>\n<li>Democracy</li>\n<li>&nbsp\;Theories of justice</li>\n<li>Cosmopolitanism</li>\n<li>&nbsp\;Gender studies</li>\n<li>Environmental philosophy\, animal ethics</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>Graduate students are invited to submit a paper (<strong>3000 to 5000 words</strong>\, in French or in English)\, before <strong>September 20th\, 2013</strong>\, to: <a href="mailto:juliette.roussin@gmail.com">juliette.roussin@gmail.com</a>\, <a href="mailto:raissa.maillard@gmail.com">maillard.raissa@gmail.com</a>.</p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp\;dinner will take place after the conference&nbsp\;near the Sorbonne on December 13th.
