DESCRIPTION:<p>Join us for a conversation with <a href="https://www.utm.utoronto.ca/political-science/people/ronald-beiner">Ronald Beiner</a> about the origins and influence of Arendt&rsquo\;s <a href="https://press.uchicago.edu/ucp/books/book/chicago/L/bo5961567.html"><em>Kant Lectures</em></a>. Beiner is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Toronto and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. In 1982\, he compiled and edited Hannah Arendt&rsquo\;s lecture notes on Kant&rsquo\;s <em>Critique of Judgment</em>\, which she delivered in the Fall of 1970 at the New School. The publication of these lectures has given rise to a significant body of literature in philosophy\, political theory\, and beyond&mdash\;and continues to have an enduring impact in the field of Arendt studies.</p>\n<p>Lunch will be provided.
