DESCRIPTION:<p>2014 marks the 30th anniversary of the publication of Alvin Plantinga's "Advice to Christian Philosophers." &nbsp\;In those past thirty years\, Christian philosophy has developed in remarkably diverse and deep ways. &nbsp\;So where do things stand regarding Christians and philosophy today? &nbsp\;What are the &lsquo\;live&rsquo\; questions or concerns for Christian philosophical inquiry? &nbsp\;Our conference draws together a wide array of participants to explore the nature and task of Christian philosophy.<br> <br> The Society of Continental Philosophy and Theology will be meeting in concurrent\, parallel sessions with the Society of Christian Philosophers. &nbsp\;Our program will feature keynote speakers drawn from both the SCP and SCPT.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Call for Papers<br> </strong>We invite submissions exploring any topic of interest to Christian philosophers\, but those dealing explicitly with the conference theme may be given preference. &nbsp\;The conference organizers intend to bring together a wide range of topics and ideas with the hope of fostering a rich and broad discussion among those interested in Christianity and philosophy. &nbsp\;We welcome participation from both Christians and non-Christian philosophers as presenters and participants. &nbsp\;<br> <br> <strong>300 word abstracts (plus professional contact information) for individual papers\, book sessions and panels are due by October 15\, 2013. </strong> (Each speaker is allowed no more than 30 minutes\, including question and answer time.)
