DESCRIPTION:<p>We are pleased to invite submissions from postgraduate and early career researchers for the upcoming London Feminist Philosophy Conference hosted by King&rsquo\;s College London.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Feminist philosophy has long been a powerful force for reimagining the world\, challenging entrenched social structures\, and promoting gender equality. Since the middle of the twentieth century\, it has challenged and overturned previously unassailable tenets of traditional philosophy\, and has made major impacts in political philosophy\, jurisprudence\, and epistemology\, to name a few.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>The conference aims to bring together academics across disciplines to promote innovative interdisciplinary and intersectional discussion on the topic of feminist philosophy. The conference will be held across two days\, 15th - 16th June\, and will feature two keynote speakers: Professor Johanna Oksala (Loyola University Chicago) and Dr Isabell Dahms (Goldsmiths).&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Submission Guidelines</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Submissions by postgraduate students (including e.g. MA\, MPhil and PhD) as well as early career researchers (2-3 years from PhD) are welcomed for consideration.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>We welcome abstracts from a wide range of topics relevant to feminist philosophy. This includes work on the intersection of feminism with race\, sexuality\, class and a variety of other issues.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Possible topics include (the list is not exhaustive):&nbsp\;</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Feminist epistemology</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Feminist metaphysics</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>History of feminist philosophy</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Capitalism and gender-based oppression</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Intersectionality and feminism</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Gender and family</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Media\, pornography and oppression</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Feminist care ethics</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Non-Western approaches to gender</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Feminism and medical care</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Feminist perspectives on justice</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Submissions should be suitable for a 30 minute presentation\, which will be followed by a 15-minute Q&amp\;A session.
