DESCRIPTION:<p>The&nbsp\;Jepson School of Leadership Studies</a>&nbsp\;at the&nbsp\;University of Richmond</a>&nbsp\;invites submissions for the&nbsp\;2023 Fredric M. Jablin Doctoral Dissertation Award<em>.</em>&nbsp\;Submissions can be on any topic and from any discipline\, as long as they demonstrate substantial insights and implications for the study of leadership.&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>This competition is open to any individual who successfully defended their doctoral dissertation within the last two years\, including the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.</p>\n\n<p>Candidates for this award should complete the online application\, which is available at&nbsp\;http://jepson.richmond.edu/about/jablin-dissertation-award/submissions.html</a>.&nbsp\;<strong>Applications are due on or before June 15</strong>.&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>Candidates must also email the following 4 items:</p>\n<p>1)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;a letter of interest</p>\n<p>2)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;a three- to five-page abstract of a substantive dissertation chapter (specifically\, the chapter that best represents the author&rsquo\;s dissertation)</p>\n<p>3)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;a brief biography&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>4)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;verification of when they received their Ph.D. (e.g.\, a transcript or letter from the dissertation advisor will suffice).</p>\n\n<p>Please send each item as a separate PDF file attachment to&nbsp\;<strong>jepsonaward@richmond.edu</strong>.&nbsp\;Please DO NOT send the dissertation. The award committee will contact the finalists by the end of June to request a full dissertation chapter.</p>
