DESCRIPTION:<p>The 28th Meeting of the North American Sartre Society will take place on November 3-5th\, 2023 at the University of North Carolina\, Wilmington.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Keynote Speakers:&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Betsy Bowman and Bob Stone&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Betsy Bowman is president and research associate at the Center for Global Justice in San Miguel de Allende\, Mexico.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Bob Stone is professor emeritus of philosophy at the C. W. Post Center of Long Island University</p>\n<p>Both are long time\, founding members of NASS and authors of the new book Reading Sartre's Second Ethics: Morality\, History\, and Integral Humanity.</p>\n<p>Our conference theme is Sartre&rsquo\;s second ethics. We invite proposals on all themes related to Sartre&rsquo\;s later ethics\, including\, but not limited to: community ethics\, the &ldquo\;We&rdquo\; and ethics\, relations with others\, beyond Existentialism is a Humanism\, Marxism and ethics\, anarchism and ethics\, integral humanity\, group praxis\, moral invention\, ethics and history.</p>\n<p>*Abstracts are due August 5\, 2023\, to kengels@molloy.edu&nbsp\;</p>
