UID:20260611T122209Z-iCalPlugin-Grails@philevents-web-bd7db559-gt5qm
TZID:Australia/Melbourne
LOCATION:Level 4\, Room 28\, 250 Victoria Parade\, East Melbourne\, Australia
DESCRIPTION:<p>Abstract : In this paper\, I will examine on what basis a concept of 'personal' or 'existential' truth can be adequately formulated. I will start by considering Heidegger's attempt at such a formulation and show its limits and even its inconsistencies. I will reconsider three classical\, alternative accounts that we find in Homer\, in Socrates' discourse during his trial and in Saint Augustine respectively. I will finally try to consider what role the question of truth can play in an approach to human identity.</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp\; Email the organizer for a link to the talk</p>
