DESCRIPTION:
The various recent approaches to quantum worlds appear to be reaching a consensus: that spacetime is quantized\, relational\, and emergent out of a fundamentally new\, pre-geometric order that exists &ldquo\;before&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;below.&rdquo\; Conventional reality\, then\, emerges as an explicate order from more fundamental\, process-relational pre-geometric and pre-quantum implicate order(s)\, which exist beyond conventional science and philosophy.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
\n
This pre-geometric implicate order has the potential to answer the two most fundamental questions in all the&nbsp\;philosophia naturalis: what is the origin of spacetime and the fields within it\, and ultimately\, why is there something rather than nothing? Hence\, the sub-Planckian order promises profound consequences\, not just for foundational (meta)physics\, but also for cosmic evolution in quantum cosmology\, and human knowledge of it.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
\n
Many scholars have explored these ideas\, most notably the physicists David Bohm and Carlo Rovelli\, within the tradition of integral and process-relational philosophy (Peirce\, Bergson\, Whitehead\, Derrida\, Deleuze\, Guattari\, DeLanda\, Hiley\, Barad\, Prigogine\, Stengers\, Berry\, Swimme\, Cobb\, Teilhard de Chardin\, Wilber\, et al.).&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
\n
We invite articles approaching the topic from historical or current positions that unite philosophy and science beyond the traditional rational-empirical\, analytic-continental\, and East-West academic disciplinary boundaries towards a genuinely holistic&nbsp\;philosophia naturalis.&nbsp\;
\n
Contributors should send their proposal to Brianna Sanchez brianna.sanchez@ttu.edu
\n
Please include
\n
1) Title of your paper\;
\n
2) Abstract of 250-300 words\;
\n
3) 5 keywords\;
\n
4) Bionote stating name\, institutional affiliation\, address\, research interests\, main publications\, email address.
\n
Submission deadline: 10 December 2023.
\n
For more information please contact: &nbsp\;
\n
elize.bisanz@ttu.edu>&nbsp\;
\n
matthew.hogan@ttu.edu>&nbsp\;
