DESCRIPTION:<p>We are pleased to announce the second Neuch&acirc\;tel Undergraduate Philosophy Conference. The conference will&nbsp\;take place in person over the course of two days. This event offers&nbsp\;undergraduate students working in all areas of philosophy the chance to present their work and gain feedback in a welcoming and beautiful environment on the banks of&nbsp\;Lake Neuch&acirc\;tel.&nbsp\;We will also enjoy the presence of two expert philosophers as keynote speakers\, which are <strong>Dr. Prof. Anne Meylan from University of Zurich</strong> and <strong>Dr. Prof. Maria Alvarez from King&rsquo\;s College London</strong>. The Undergraduate Conference will take place on the <strong>14. and 15. of September</strong> <strong>2023</strong>.</p>\n<p><strong>Applications</strong></p>\n<p>Please send abstracts of&nbsp\;<strong>500 words&nbsp\;</strong>in any area of analytic philosophy&nbsp\;prepared for anonymous review to&nbsp\;<a href="mailto:neuchatel.undergrad.conference@gmail.com">neuchatel.undergrad.conference@gmail.com</a>&nbsp\;by&nbsp\;<strong>Sunday&nbsp\;20th August (midnight CET)</strong>\, with the header &lsquo\;SUBMISSION&rsquo\;. Please also include a&nbsp\;<em>separate&nbsp\;</em>cover note attached to\, or in the body of\, the same email containing:</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; First and last name.</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Academic affiliation.</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Academic status (Only undergraduate students\, i.e.\, bachelor&rsquo\;s students\, may take part in the&nbsp\;conference).</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Subject area (e.g.\, &laquo\; Metaphysics&nbsp\;&raquo\;\, &laquo\;&nbsp\;Social Ontology&nbsp\;&raquo\;\, &laquo\; Philosophy of Action&nbsp\;&raquo\;\, etc...).</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Paper title.</p>\n<p>All speakers will receive a&nbsp\;<strong>contribution</strong>&nbsp\;to their travel and accommodation expenses&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;<strong>up to&nbsp\;<strong>50 CHF.</strong></strong></p>\n<p>All talks should be in <strong>English</strong><strong>\; </strong>however\, abstracts are accepted in French\, English\, Italian\, and German. Exceptionally\, the talk itself can also be presented in one of these languages\, if the author feels unable to present in English.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Questions should be sent to the email address listed above.</p>\n<p>The conference is organized by&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;philosophy students&rsquo\; association of the University of Neuch&acirc\;tel\, the Phink!\, and the University of Neuch&acirc\;tel's Institute of Philosophy.</p>
