DESCRIPTION:<p>We invite scholars and students to submit abstracts regarding any aspect of Presocratic thought\, in the following format:</p>\n<p>A two-page proposal for a twenty-minute talk (followed by a ten-minute discussion) should be sent in pdf format to:&nbsp\;<strong>presocratic.studies@gmail.com</strong>. The subject line of the message should be &ldquo\;IAPS 8 Proposal&rdquo\;.</p>\n<p>The first page of the proposal should be a cover page containing the following information:</p>\n<p>● Name (as you would like it to appear in the program)</p>\n<p>● Institution</p>\n<p>● Position (e.g.\, Graduate Student\, Independent Scholar\,</p>\n<p>Associate Professor)</p>\n<p>● Country (location of residence\, work\, self-identification)</p>\n<p>● Title</p>\n<p>● E-mail</p>\n<p>The second page should contain the title and the abstract (max. 300 words) in English. Unicode fonts should be used\, to avoid problems in rendering Greek or other non-Latin characters. To ensure anonymity in the refereeing process\, do not put your name on this page.</p>\n<p>Review process</p>\n<p>Submitted abstracts will be blind-reviewed by a committee appointed by the Council of IAPS. The decision of the committee will be communicated via e-mail.</p>\n<p>Schedule</p>\n<p><strong>1. Deadline for the submission of abstracts: November 30th\, 2023.</strong></p>\n<p>2. Communication of decision of the IAPS committee: January 15th\, 2024.</p>\n<p>While you are free to give your talk in English\, French\, German\, Greek\, Italian\, Portuguese\, or Spanish. Keep in mind that not everybody can follow a fast-paced\, argument-packed lecture in all of them. In order to be inclusive\, and to receive as much engagement as possible\, we suggest that you prepare one handout in English.</p>
