DESCRIPTION:<p>The&nbsp\;13th Annual Midwestern Medical Humanities Conference&nbsp\;will be held November 3\, 2023 via Microsoft Teams.&nbsp\; This conference is convened annual to discuss the intersection of medicine and the humanities.&nbsp\; The theme of this year's meeting is the&nbsp\;Value of Medical Humanities.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We invite submissions for individual presentations that explore the value of medical humanities.&nbsp\; We also encourage panel submissions that bring together participants from diverse backgrounds or academic disciplines.&nbsp\; We further encourage proposals that involve community partners\, would be of interest to the general public\, and/or create opportunities for students.</p>\n<p>Submission Guidelines:&nbsp\; Submissions should include name\, department/instiutional affiliation\, project title\, and an abstract not to exceed 500 words.&nbsp\; Please also include whether your submission is for an individual presentation or a panel presentation.&nbsp\; Proposals should be submitted by&nbsp\;September 1&nbsp\;to&nbsp\;medical-humanities@wmich.edu.&nbsp\; Accepted presentations will be notified by&nbsp\;September 15\; conference registration will be required of all participants.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>
