The Kent State University Philosophy Department is pleased to announce its \;31st Annual Philosophy Graduate Student Conference in Remembrance of May 4th\, 1970. \; \;This conference will take place\, in-person\, on March 16\, 2024. \;We are excited to have Dr. Anthony Steinbock (Stony Brook University) as our keynote speaker this year.
We invite submissions from current graduate students on \;any \;philosophical topic and from \;any \;research tradition in philosophy. \; \;All submitted papers should: (i) not exceed 3\,000-words\, (ii) be prepared for blind review\, and (iii) be accompanied by a separate page that includes paper title and author information (name\, affiliation\, and contact information). \;
We especially encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups\, including\, but not limited to: people of color\, women\, queer and gender non-conforming people\, people from economically disadvantaged groups\, and people with disabilities. \;
\nLocal transportation and limited overnight accommodations with Kent State graduate students will be offered (available accommodations will be allocated first-come\, first-served). \; \;A buffet lunch\, including vegan and vegetarian options\, will be provided free of charge for all speakers. \;This event is open to the public and free to attend.
