DESCRIPTION:
Agency and Intentions in Language 4 (AIL4)
\n\n
Fourth Annual Interdisciplinary Workshop
\n\n
Harvey Mudd College
\n\n
January 10&ndash\;12\, 2024 (virtual)
\n\n
Our sense of agency and ability to distinguish between intentional and accidental actions are fundamental for social interaction. They allow us to plan and perform joint actions and assign responsibility for our own actions and those of others. Research on the nature of agency and intentions has been very fruitful over the last few decades in philosophy\, psychology\, and linguistics. However\, interdisciplinary discussion has rarely taken place.
\n\n
We are delighted to announce the 4-th interdisciplinary workshop on Agency and Intentions in Language (AIL4). The goal of the workshop is to bring together scholars in linguistics\, philosophy\, and psychology interested in questions related to agency and intentions\, broadly construed.
\n\n\n
The fourth annual &ldquo\;Agency and Intentions in Language&rdquo\; workshop program is now available on our website: https://ail-workshop.github.io/AIL4-Workshop/program.html
\n\n\n
We hope you RSVP and attend on January 10\, 11\, and 12!
