Description: \;Individual differences in perceptual experience are likely universal\, just as individual differences in external appearance are universal. I&rsquo\;ll start by introducing the concept of &lsquo\;perceptual diversity&rsquo\; and distinguishing it from the established concept of &lsquo\;neurodiversity&rsquo\;. I&rsquo\;ll then summarise some work examining perceptual diversity in situations ranging from synaesthesia to the rubber hand illusion\, discussing some potential underlying factors. I&rsquo\;ll describe The Perception Census (https://perceptioncensus.dreamachine.world/) &ndash\; a large-scale citizen-science project that is aiming to provide a unique open-access data resource for research into perceptual diversity across many different perceptual dimensions. Finally\, I will introduce Dreamachine (https://dreamachine.world/) &ndash\; a recent art-science immersive experience using stroboscopic light to induce individually unique perceptual hallucinations in groups of people.
