DESCRIPTION:
The aim of the workshop is to foster innovative new work in business ethics by&nbsp\;integrating insights from social and applied epistemology\, as well as feminist theory.
\n
Insights from social epistemology have increasingly helped to inform debates in ethics&nbsp\;and political philosophy. At the same time\, there has been a growing body of work at the&nbsp\;intersection of social epistemology and feminist theory. This work analyzes the relationship between&nbsp\;knowledge\, society\, and intersectional experiences of oppression and privilege.
\n
However\, despite the deep relevance that this work has to business ethics\, we find that the&nbsp\;connections between these areas have received little attention and have been largely underexplored&nbsp\;and undertheorized in recent literature.
\n
This workshop aims to make much-needed progress&nbsp\;towards bridging these gaps by supporting scholarship in business ethics which draws upon&nbsp\;perspectives in social\, epistemic\, and feminist philosophy.
\n
The workshop will be held at Bentley University\, in the suburbs of Boston\, March 8 &amp\; 9\, 2024.
\n
We are delighted to have Erin Beeghly (University of Utah) as a keynote speaker.
\n
Questions: please contact nabe.2024.bentley@gmail.com
\n
Organizing comittee: Aaron Ancell and Arianna Falbo
\n
This workshop is generously supported by the Hoffman Center for Buisness Ethics\, as well as the&nbsp\;The Jeanne and Dan Valente Center for Arts &amp\; Sciences at Bentley University.&nbsp\;
