DESCRIPTION:<p>We invite abstract submissions for a workshop that aims to bring together scholars working in business ethics\, and feminist theory\, and/or social and applied epistemology\, with the hope of fostering new work at the intersection of those fields.</p>\n<p>The workshop will be held at Bentley University\, in the suburbs of Boston\, <strong>March 8 &amp\; 9\, 2024.</strong></p>\n<p>We are delighted to have Erin Beeghly (University of Utah) as a keynote speaker.</p>\n<p>We invite abstract submissions from faculty\, post-docs\, and graduate students who are working at the intersection of business ethics and feminist and/or social epistemology\, broadly construed. We ask that submissions offer a fairly detailed sense of the paper without exceeding 500 words. Potential topics may include:</p>\n<p>● discrimination and oppression at work</p>\n<p>● how businesses shape personal and societal beliefs and values</p>\n<p>● &ldquo\;lean in&rdquo\; culture and the &ldquo\;girl boss&rdquo\; phenomenon</p>\n<p>● the commoditization of feminism and using feminist messaging as a branding tool</p>\n<p>● diversity\, equity\, and inclusion initiatives in the workplace</p>\n<p>● the dynamics of epistemic in/justice\, gaslighting\, or forms of silencing at work</p>\n<p>● gamification\, productivity\, and exploitation in the workplace</p>\n<p>● the gender pay gap</p>\n<p>● employer policies related to gender and LGBTQ+ issues</p>\n<p>● cultural code-switching in the workplace and barriers to social mobility</p>\n<p>● toxic work environments</p>\n<p>● intersectional approaches to workplace culture and climate</p>\n<p>● feminist and social epistemic perspectives on issues related to emerging technologies</p>\n<p>Please send your abstract to<strong> nabe.2024.bentley@gmail.com by December 15th\, 2023.</strong> Individuals will be notified about whether their paper has been selected for presentation by January 10th.</p>\n<p>Note: This is an in-person workshop\; remote participation will not be possible.
