DESCRIPTION:<p>The Kim Young-Jung lectures&nbsp\;is&nbsp\;back&nbsp\;(after&nbsp\;a&nbsp\;Covid&nbsp\;hiatus)!</p>\n<p>The&nbsp\;lectures&nbsp\;was founded in 2011 by fellow scholars in memory of Prof. Kim Young-Jung\, who&nbsp\;was a distinguished scholar and member of the SNU Department of Philosophy since 2006\,&nbsp\;and had been actively engaging&nbsp\;in&nbsp\;and contributing to the Korean academia with renowned expertise in the areas of the&nbsp\;philosophy of mind&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;cognitive science.&nbsp\;He was also a proactive faculty member\, serving as the Dean of the SNU Admissions Office.&nbsp\;His unexpected loss in 2009 was grievous news for the entire SNU community.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Since&nbsp\;its&nbsp\;start&nbsp\;in 2011\,&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;Kim Young-Jung lectures has been the biggest annual event in the&nbsp\;SNU&nbsp\;Department of Philosophy\, providing chances for the students and faculty to invite and learn from world-renowned scholars.
