DESCRIPTION:<p>CALL FOR PAPERS&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The 2024 Society for European Philosophy annual conference will take place on 3rd&ndash\;5th July 2024 at Cardiff University.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The SEP conference aims to bring together anyone and everyone interested in European philosophy. The conference is held in the medium of English. Submissions are invited for individual papers\, panel sessions\, book symposia\, or other types of session addressing philosophical themes associated with European philosophy.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Confirmed keynote speakers&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&ndash\; Professor Sara Hein&auml\;maa (Jyv&auml\;skyl&auml\;)&nbsp\;<br>&nbsp\;<br>&ndash\; Professor Irene McMullen (Essex)&nbsp\;<br>&nbsp\;<br>&ndash\; Professor Sianne Ngai (Chicago)&nbsp\;<br>&nbsp\;<br>&ndash\; Professor Monique Roelofs (Amsterdam)&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Submissions&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>To submit an individual paper for consideration for inclusion in the conference programme\, please provide an abstract of up to 300 words. In your abstract\, please make clear the main claim that your paper advances\, and outline your argument for that claim. Papers are to last no longer than 20 minutes each\, with 10 minutes for questions and discussion. &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>To submit a panel proposal\, please provide a description of the panel of up to 100 words\, as well as abstracts of up to 300 words for each of three papers to be presented. As above\, please ensure that each abstract makes clear the main claim defended by the paper and outlines the argument for that claim. Panel sessions will last 90 minutes\, including at least 30 minutes for discussion.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>In addition to individual papers and panel discussions\, we invite proposals for book symposia or indeed other types for sessions. To propose any such ideas\, please email the organisers at the address below.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Submissions\, both for papers and panels\, must be made via the following form:&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>https://forms.gle/7XKMvHyk9n69bgLG9</a></p>\n<p>The deadline for submissions is 24th&nbsp\;January 2024. Contributors will be notified of the panel&rsquo\;s decision by email in February 2024.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>There will be a registration fee for this event. The exact fee is to be determined but it will not exceed &pound\;70 waged or &pound\;50 student/unwaged.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Bursaries&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>A number of bursaries are available to assist students and independent (non-waged) scholars with the cost of attendance. These are customarily up to &euro\;100 per person\, awarded according to the case made for support\, and released retrospectively\, post-conference.
