DESCRIPTION:<p>The Toronto Working Group in Philosophy of Religion will hold a workshop on the topic God and Value Theory (broadly construed) on June 4-6\, 2024 in Toronto\, Ontario.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The workshop will be read-ahead: accepted authors should expect to have a conference paper ready for distribution by May 1\, 2024\, and should come to the workshop ready to discuss all papers.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Keynote sessions will be given by Mark Murphy\, Leigh Vicens\, and Scott Davison.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The workshop will feature both invited and submitted papers. Those interested in giving a submitted paper should prepare an abstract of 300-500 words for blind review and submit it&nbsp\;here:https://forms.gle/16Hy63VeR8uo7MDf6</p>\n<p>Possible topics include but are not limited to:</p>\n<p>- divine goodness</p>\n<p>- the relationship between theism and aesthetics</p>\n<p>- the role of religion in public life</p>\n<p>- the cardinal virtues as they relate to theism</p>\n<p>- the axiology of theism</p>\n<p>- theism and epistemic value</p>\n<p>- the problem of evil</p>\n<p>Work on any of these questions situated in particular theistic traditions is most welcome.</p>\n<p>The deadline for submission is 11:59:59 EST on 14 January 2024.
