DESCRIPTION:<p>The University of Missouri - St. Louis' Philosophers' Forum invites submissions from current graduate students related to the conference title: "The Metaphysics of Value."&nbsp\;<strong>Papers on related areas are welcome\, including\, but not limited to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Metaethics (i.e.\, the ontology of morality)</li>\n<li>Philosophy of Logic (i.e.\,&nbsp\;the ontology of logic)</li>\n<li>Value Theory (i.e.\, monism/pluralism about intrinsic values\, ontology of intrinsic/instrumental values)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Papers that explore the intersections of these domains are also encouraged.</p>\n<p>This event will take place in-person\, but will also be broadcast via Zoom. Presenters will have the opportunity to present their work\, receive feedback\, and take questions in real-time.</p>\n<p>The keynote speakers for this conference are&nbsp\;<strong>Justin Clarke-Doane (Columbia University)</strong> and&nbsp\;<strong>Joe Salerno (Saint Louis University)</strong>.</p>\n<p>To apply\, please submit:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>A paper prepared for anonymous review\, not exceeding 3500 words in length and suitable for a 20-25 minute presentation.</li>\n<li>A separate cover sheet including name\, institutional affiliation\, contact information\, paper title\, word count\, and an abstract of no more than 300 words to&nbsp\;<em>philosophersforumumsl@gmail.com</em>.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Each day will feature presentations from 4-5 graduate students with subsequent commentary from fellow graduate student commentators. All papers undergo peer review by the officers of the Philosophers&rsquo\; Forum.</p>\n<p>The new deadline for submission is&nbsp\;<strong>February 11th\, 2024</strong>. Successful applicants will be informed by&nbsp\;<strong>February 25th\,</strong>&nbsp\;<strong>2024</strong>.&nbsp\; &nbsp\; Each day will feature presentations from 4-5 graduate students with subsequent commentary from fellow graduate student commentators.
