DESCRIPTION:<p>The overarching theme of this conference is&nbsp\;<strong>global feminism</strong>\, explored at both theoretical and applied levels.</p>\n<p>Our envisioned conference will span two days\, with one day dedicated to theoretical discussions and the other to applied perspectives. Theoretical papers should delve into the possibility of a global feminism\, the influence of non-Western theories (such as Islamic\, LatinX\, Africana\, and Afro-Caribbean)\, decolonial feminism\, and the role of ideal and non-ideal theory in feminism. On the applied side\, we welcome papers exploring the implementation of global feminist concepts.</p>\n<p>Potential paper topics include\, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Non-ideal vs. ideal theory</li>\n<li>Decolonial feminism</li>\n<li>Transnational feminism</li>\n<li>Third-world feminism</li>\n<li>Islamic Feminism</li>\n<li>LatinX Feminism</li>\n<li>Afro-Caribbean Feminism</li>\n<li>The possibility of transnational feminist ethics</li>\n<li>The role of 'Western feminism' in a global context</li>\n<li>Applied papers on feminist issues\, such as abortion\, child marriage\, women and work\, feminist praxis\, and the decision to have children.</li>\n</ul>\n
