DESCRIPTION:<p>On&nbsp\;<strong>April 12th &ndash\; 13th</strong>\, Oklahoma Baptist University will host the 2024 Southwestern Regional meeting of the Evangelical Philosophical Society (in conjunction with the&nbsp\;ETS regional meeting).</p>\n<p>Dean Zimmerman of Rutgers University will serve as the plenary speaker.</p>\n<p>The conference theme is&nbsp\;<strong>&ldquo\;Typology\, Allegory\, and the Voice of God&rdquo\;</strong>\; thus\, papers along these lines will be given priority. However\, we will consider paper submissions or proposals for panel discussions addressing any topic of interest to Christian philosophers. All areas of philosophy are welcome\, including analytic and continental approaches.</p>\n<p>Submit an abstract of no more than 200 words here:&nbsp\;https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfxdPDccGkCpqz6eANjm66V8ffbMVow7h7OuAtoKSxpA3bvCA/viewform</p>\n<p>The deadline for submissions is March 8th 2024.</p>\n<p><strong>Ben Arbour Memorial Student Paper Competition:</strong><strong></strong></p>\n<p>Student members whose papers are accepted for inclusion in the program will be eligible to enter a student paper competition. Students who wish to enter the competition must submit the following to Greg Trickett gtrickett@wc.edu by March 20\, 2024</p>\n<p>1.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; A titled\, full version of the paper to be presented (no more than 5\,000 words) suitable for blind review.</p>\n<p>2.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; A 200 word abstract with the paper titled as it appears on the blind review submission\, the student&rsquo\;s name\, pursued degree\, and societal (EPS or ETS) and institutional affiliation.</p>\n<p>Winner(s) will be announced at the final plenary session of the conference. Students must present their papers at the conference to be considered for the competition.</p>\n<p><strong>Student Travel Grants</strong></p>\n<p>Southwest Region of ETS/EPS has travel grants available for ten student members who register to participate in the region&rsquo\;s conference. Eligible students must travel at least 100 miles for the conference. Available travel grants are for a maximum of $200. If awarded\, the travel grant monies will be provided at the Southwest Region meeting. The deadline to apply is March 3\, 2024.
