DESCRIPTION:<p>From July 22-26\, 2024\, the 17th International Conference on Persons will take place in Berlin\, with the aim of bringing together all researchers in the world who are currently working on the notion\, concept\, or idea of person.</p>\n<p>Papers in any discipline are welcome\, so long as their themes are relevant to the ideas and concepts of person\, personhood\, and personality as a philosophical\, theological\, psychological\, social\, or political concern.</p>\n<p>The official language of the Conference is English.</p>\n<p><strong>Submission information for papers:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p>Papers must not exceed a length of 3000 words and should be prepared for blind review.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>In the e-mail sent with the submission\, we require the following items:</p>\n<p>1. author&rsquo\;s name</p>\n<p>2. academic status (professor\, unaffiliated\, graduate student)</p>\n<p>3. institutional affiliation (if any)</p>\n<p>4. e-mail address</p>\n<p>5. the paper s title</p>\n<p>6. an abstract -200 words maximum</p>\n<p>Send submissions to: <a href="mailto:personsconference2024@gmail.com">personsconference2024@gmail.com</a></p>\n<p>Submission deadline&nbsp\;for abstracts&nbsp\;is <strong>May 31st\, 2024</strong>\, but please submit as soon as possible. Preliminary acceptance of an abstract will come with instructions as to how the full paper should be adjusted for blind refereeing.&nbsp\;An accepted abstract is an invitation to submit a full paper.&nbsp\;Only full papers will be accepted for the conference.&nbsp\;Those full papers are welcome as submissions at any time prior to the deadline\, and will be reviewed for acceptance as soon as they are received. Full texts are due by <strong>June 30th\, 2024</strong>\, but they should be submitted earlier if possible. Full papers may be submitted at any time earlier and rolling\, prompt notification will be facilitated so that travel arrangements can be made early.</p>\n<p><strong>Registration and Conference Dinner</strong></p>\n<p>It is anticipated that a registration fee of less than 100 euro will cover all conference expenses\, including the conference dinner\; it will be lowered if that is possible.</p>\n<p>The conference dinner will be on Wednesday\, July 24 at 7 PM</p>\n<p><strong>Conference Venue</strong></p>\n<p>The Catholic Academy in Berlin was established for the purposes of meetings such as this one. It is a conference center and hotel established by the Catholic Church in the heart of Berlin\, within walking distance from the central train station. Rates are very affordable.
