DESCRIPTION:
The Hamilton College Summer Program in Philosophy (HCSPiP)&nbsp\;brings together twenty ambitious undergraduates for three concurrent\, pedagogically innovative\, two-week courses in philosophy. This summer&rsquo\;s courses are Fiction Writing as Philosophical Methodology (taught by Sara Uckelman\, Durham University)\, Ethical Discourse for Depolarization (taught by Andrew Jason Cohen\, Georgia State)\, and Disaster Ethics (taught by Lauren Traczykowski\, Aston University). The program includes night-time and weekend activities such as game nights\, mini-golf\, sunset watching\, and hikes\, giving undergraduate participants space to cultivate their intellectual friendships. The result is a diverse and intensive philosophy summer program that breeds lively discussion\, exciting classroom experiences\, and a vibrant intellectual community. We strive for inclusivity and accessibility by offering a $750 stipend (conceived as salary replacement) as well as covering travel expenses for each student.
