DESCRIPTION:<p>The aim of this conference is to explore the ethical issues concerned with<br> the conceptualisation\, justification\, design and implementation of poverty<br> alleviation measures from the local to the global level. It wants to bring<br> together these topics with the ongoing debates on global justice and to ask<br> what an ethical or normative philosophical perspective can add to the social<br> scientific\, economic and political approaches that dominate poverty alleviation.<br> <br> The conference fee is 150 Euros and covers the conference folder\, coffee<br> breaks\, two lunches\, the reception\, the conference dinner and a guided city<br> tour. Students can apply for a reduced fee of 75 Euros.</p>\n<p>We encourage the submission of papers that aim to combine theoretical and<br> practical reasoning and we also particularly welcome proposals of themed<br> panels of 3 papers on these topics. Please send your proposal (250 words)<br> until January 31\, 2014\, to cepr@sbg.ac.at</p>
