In this sense\, all politics has turned into Ecopolitics\, in such a way that it is crucial to rethink the meaning of the current relationships between the human being\, the world and the Earth\, deeply marked by the processes of alienation\, destruction and excess whose index is the ecological crisis.</p>\n<p>If we agree with the idea according to which the ecological crisis is an indicative of the failure or\, at least\, of the severe limitations of the epistemic\, ethical-political and even ontological structures of the dominant order centered in the Global North\, then perhaps it is not unreasonable to consider that the best ecopolitical practice should start in a process of critical\, counter-hegemonic decentering regarding hegemonic structures\, be it from a political\, economic\, cultural\, environmental\, geographical point of view or any other.</p>\n<p>Decentered\, counter-hegemonic ecopolitical perspectives increasingly appear as alternative and/or complementary ways of analysis\, argumentation\, and criticism\, particularly those based on the different experiences of the Global South\, on Asian\, African and Latin-American studies and perspectives\, as well as on the minority experiences within the Global North communities &ndash\; environmentalists\, feminists\, anti-racists\, class\, gender\, among others.</p>\n<p>More than that\, they present themselves as ways and forms of life previously made invisible that are now demanding to be seen\, listened to\, and considered within the framework of the plurality of perspectives of a worldly community seeking to face the threat of ecological collapse. Studies as those of Malcom Ferdinand\, L&eacute\;lia Gonzalez\, Silvia Rivera Cusicanqui\, Walter Mignolo\, Maria Lugones\, An&iacute\;bal Quijano\, Sueli Carneiro\, Frantz Fanon\, Grada Kilomba\, Gayatri Spivak\, Achille Mbembe\, Vandana Shiva\, Eduardo Gudynas\, Edgardo Lander\, H&eacute\;ctor Alimonda\, Ailton Krenak\, and Ant&ocirc\;nio Bispo dos Santos are examples of those efforts of the Global South to think in an ecopolitical fashion.</p>\n<p>The purpose of this Dossier is to publish works whose core are proposals or projects centered on or in dialogue with authors and themes associated to the Global South\, which might be significant contributions for a critical ecopolitical approach of the constituting axes of the ecological crisis: race\, gender\, class\, and nature\, as well as the relations of domination and oppression that they manifest\, which are persistent in them\, and of whose ramifications they receive a reinforcing feedback.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Invited Editors:</p>\n<p>Professor Nuno Pereira Castanheira\, Philosophy Graduate Program / Federal University of Pelotas &ndash\; Brazil</p>\n<p>Professor Lav&iacute\;nia Leal Pereira\, Institute for Social Sciences / University of Lisbon</p>\n<p>PhD Researcher Bruna Leite\, Philosophy Graduate Program / Federal University of Pelotas &ndash\; Brazil</p>\n<p>PhD Researcher Arlindo Martins J&uacute\;nior\, Philosophy Graduate Program / Federal University of Pelotas &ndash\; Brazil</p>\n<p>Submission deadline: September 30\, 2024</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Portuguese Version</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Chamada para Artigos</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Crise Ecol&oacute\;gica e Sul Global: Di&aacute\;logos Ecopol&iacute\;ticos<a name="_heading=h.y440nphqsrx"></a></strong></p>\n<p>A crise ecol&oacute\;gica &eacute\; uma quest&atilde\;o pol&iacute\;tica transversal e de primeira ordem\, que parece subjazer a problemas que v&atilde\;o desde injusti&ccedil\;as intra e intergeracionais\, colonialismo\, imperialismo\, capitalismo e sociedade de consumo at&eacute\; &agrave\; discrimina&ccedil\;&atilde\;o racial\, de g&ecirc\;nero e de classe\, bem como &agrave\; explora&ccedil\;&atilde\;o e destrui&ccedil\;&atilde\;o da pr&oacute\;pria natureza\, da Terra\, e das comunidades de vida que esta suporta. Neste sentido\, toda a pol&iacute\;tica se transformou numa Ecopol&iacute\;tica\, de tal modo que se mostra crucial repensar o sentido das rela&ccedil\;&otilde\;es atuais entre ser humano\, mundo e Terra\, profundamente marcadas pelos processos de aliena&ccedil\;&atilde\;o\, destrui&ccedil\;&atilde\;o e excesso cujo &iacute\;ndice &eacute\; a crise ecol&oacute\;gica.</p>\n<p>Se concordarmos com a ideia segundo a qual a crise ecol&oacute\;gica &eacute\; um indicador do fracasso ou\, pelo menos\, das severas limita&ccedil\;&otilde\;es das estruturas epist&ecirc\;micas\, &eacute\;tico-pol&iacute\;ticas e mesmo ontol&oacute\;gicas da ordem dominante centrada no Norte Global\, ent&atilde\;o talvez n&atilde\;o seja descabido considerar que a melhor pr&aacute\;tica ecopol&iacute\;tica deve come&ccedil\;ar justamente por um processo de descentramento cr&iacute\;tico\, contra-hegem&ocirc\;nico\, relativamente &agrave\;s estruturas hegem&ocirc\;nicas\, sejam do ponto de vista pol&iacute\;tico\, econ&ocirc\;mico\, cultural\, ambiental\, geogr&aacute\;fico ou outro.</p>\n<p>Perspectivas ecopol&iacute\;ticas descentralizadas e contra-hegem&ocirc\;nicas aparecem\, cada vez mais\, como modos alternativos e/ou complementares de an&aacute\;lise\, argumenta&ccedil\;&atilde\;o e cr&iacute\;tica\, particularmente as baseadas nas diferentes experi&ecirc\;ncias do Sul Global\, a partir dos estudos e perspectivas asi&aacute\;ticas\, africanas e latino-americanas\, bem como em experi&ecirc\;ncias minorit&aacute\;rias no interior das comunidades do Norte Global &ndash\; ambientalistas\, feministas\, antirracistas\, de classe\, de g&ecirc\;nero\, entre outras.</p>\n<p>Mais do que isso\, apresentam-se como modos e formas de vida previamente invisibilizados que exigem ser vistos\, escutados e considerados no quadro da pluralidade de perspectivas de uma comunidade mundializada que procura enfrentar a amea&ccedil\;a de colapso ecol&oacute\;gico.
