DESCRIPTION:<p>ISME Annual Conference 2024<br>Conference Theme:&nbsp\; "Ethics Education: Discerning and Developing a Military Ethos for the 21st Century"<br>Conference date(s):&nbsp\;Friday and Saturday\,&nbsp\;June 14-15\, 2024.&nbsp\;<br>Social evening of Thursday the 13th\, and an optional Adventure Day Sunday 16 June (group white-water rafting and/or hiking)<br>Conference location:&nbsp\;University of Colorado\, Colorado Springs<br>Hotel:&nbsp\; Hyatt\, Garden of the Gods&nbsp\;<br><br>&nbsp\;ISME is pleased to accept papers focused on "Ethics Education: Discerning and Developing a Military Ethos for the 21st Century."&nbsp\; Possible topics include\, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>What "ethics education" might entail and how to go about achieving such</li>\n<li>When looking to the future\, with what&nbsp\;ought the Profession of Arms be concerned and why</li>\n<li>What concerns\, if any\, do emerging technologies&nbsp\;raise for military ethics?\, etc.&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>As always\, we gladly accept high quality submissions in any area of military ethics\, broadly construed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp\;<br>Submissions should be sent to Lt Col Kathryn Toms (Kathryn.Toms@afacademy.af.edu)&nbsp\; no later than&nbsp\;15 Mar\, 2024\;&nbsp\;authors of papers accepted for conference presentation will be notified by 15 April.&nbsp\;<br>Abstracts are acceptable\, although full papers are preferred.&nbsp\; We aim to offer 15 minutes of presentation time per paper\, followed by generous Q&amp\;A.</p>
