DESCRIPTION:<p>This workshop is part of the research project "The Ethics of Doubt: Kierkegaard\, Scepticism\, and Conspiracy Theory" funded by an ERC Advanced grant awarded to Professor Genia Sch&ouml\;nbaumsfeld\, University of Southampton.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The project explores Kierkegaard&rsquo\;s existential conception of doubt and brings it into dialogue with broader philosophical concerns\, focusing on the relation between the intellectual vices\, such as a lack of intellectual courage\, and various forms of scepticism\, both inside and outside of academia.</p>\n<p>The project's first workshop focuses on Kierkegaard and Scepticism.</p>\n<p>Confirmed speakers include:</p>\n<p>Roe Fremstedal (NTNU)<br> Erin Plunkett (Hertfordshire)<br> Alexander Quanbeck (Princeton)<br> C&aelig\;cilie Varslev-Pedersen (Southampton)<br> Dan Watts (Essex)</p>\n<p>This event is a pre-read workshop.
