DESCRIPTION:<p>Dear Philosophers and Cognitive Scientists\,<br><br>Happy New Year!<br><strong><br></strong> <strong>Tim Bayne</strong>\, a philosopher of mind and cognitive science at&nbsp\;Oxford University\, will visit Rice on&nbsp\;<strong>Thursday\, January 12\, 2012</strong>\, as part of the HRC&nbsp\;Mind &amp\; Perception Workshop. Bayne&nbsp\;has written extensively about the unity of consciousness\, the phenomenology of agency\, cognitive phenomenology\, delusions\, and the richness of perceptual content\, among other topics.</p>\n<p>Tim will give a talk and workshop entitled\,&nbsp\;<strong>"The Problem of Cognitive Phenomenology\,"&nbsp\;on&nbsp\;Thursday\, January 12\, from 10:30am-12:50pm in HERRING 308</strong>.&nbsp\;The session&nbsp\;will be open to all interested faculty\, students\, and visitors.
