DESCRIPTION:<p>The Pacific Division of the Society for Women in Philosophy (PSWIP) is pleased to invite proposals for presentations and roundtable sessions in any area of philosophy for a one-day conference at Mount St. Mary's University in Downtown Los Angeles (Doheny campus).</p>\n<p>We are excited to announce this year's keynote speaker: Dr. Talia Bettcher (Cal State LA).</p>\n<p>Presentations will be approximately 20 minutes in length and roundtables will include 4-6 speakers. each offering 'lightning talks' of 5mins. each that speak to a common topic or question.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Presentations and roundtables that consider issues related to women or the status of women in philosophy are particularly welcome.</p>\n<p>Those wishing to participate should send abstracts of no more than 500 words prepared for anonymous review.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Roundtable proposals should include a 500 word abstract describing the topic of the roundtable and issues it will touch on\, as well as tentative titles for the 'lightning talks.'</p>\n<p>Submit proposals to pswipsubmissions@gmail.com by the deadline of March 11\, 2024.</p>\n<p>The conference will take place on April 27\, 2024.</p>
