DESCRIPTION:<p>Egenis\, the Centre for the Study of the Life Sciences\, will host a 2-day workshop on the philosophy of the paleosciences\, followed by a 3-day retreat to the Jurassic Coast. Travel costs to Exeter and the retreat\, as well as accommodation will be covered for all speakers.</p>\n<p>Abstracts of no more than 500 words and CVs should be emailed to Adrian Currie at <a href="mailto:a.currie@exeter.ac.uk">a.currie@exeter.ac.uk</a> by the 1st of April. Topics can include anything related to the history\, philosophy or sociology of the paleosciences\, broadly construed. Get in touch with Adrian if you&rsquo\;ve any questions.</p>\n<p><strong>Invited Speakers</strong></p>\n<p>Alisa Bokulich (Boston University)</p>\n<p>Max Dresow (Macalester College)</p>\n<p>Andra Meneganzin (KU Leuven)</p>\n<p>Derek Turner (Connecticut College)</p>\n<p>Alison Wylie (University of British Colombia)</p>\n<p>The <strong>Retreat </strong>will be based in the <a href="https://www.dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk/nature-reserves/kingcombe-meadows">Kingcombe Meadows Nature Reserve</a> and will involve both discussions surrounding a draft of Adrian Currie&rsquo\;s monograph <em>The Science of Lost Worlds</em>\, as well as a set of extra-curricular activities on the Jurassic Coast.</p>
