DESCRIPTION:<p>The Emmanuel College Philosophy Club is pleased to announce our&nbsp\;<strong>6th Annual Boston Undergraduate Philosophy Conference</strong>&nbsp\;featuring keynote speaker\, Dr. Dien Ho\, professor of philosophy and healthcare ethics and the chair of the Center for Health and Humanities at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences who will be speaking on placebos and their use in clinical care.&nbsp\;<a href="https://philpeople.org/profiles/dien-ho">https://philpeople.org/profiles/dien-ho</a>&nbsp\; <a href="https://www.mcphs.edu/directory/0034254">https://www.mcphs.edu/directory/0034254</a></p>\n<p>We welcome papers in any area of philosophy suitable for a 20-minute talk (4000 word maximum).&nbsp\;Each paper will receive comments from a member of the Emmanuel College Philosophy Club (limited to 10 minutes) and will be followed by a question and answer session for 15 minutes. Sorry\, but we will not be accepting papers from recent graduates.&nbsp\;<strong>W<strong>e strongly encourage undergraduate students from Greater Boston as well as from underrepresented groups to submit papers and to otherwise participate in the conference</strong></strong>.</p>\n<p>Papers must be submitted as a Word (.docx) document or a PDF (.pdf) file and be prepared for blind review.</p>\n<p>Please include a separate cover sheet with your full name\, paper title\, university or college\, e-mail address\, and phone number.</p>\n<p>Send papers to&nbsp\;mottr@emmanuel.edu&nbsp\;by the end of Friday<strong>\, April 5th\, 2024.&nbsp\;</strong>Notification of acceptance will be by Monday\, April 8th\, 2024.</p>\n<p>The&nbsp\;<strong>Annual Boston Undergraduate Philosophy Conference&nbsp\;</strong>is a completely student-run conference with undergraduate students handling all facets of operation.</p>\n<p>For further questions\, contact&nbsp\;philosophyclub@emmanuel.edu</p>\n<p>We look forward to reading your papers!</p>
