DESCRIPTION:<p>The graduate students in the Department of Philosophy at Kent State University are pleased to annouce a call for papers for the 21st Annual Philosophy Graduate Student Conference in Remembrance of May 4th.<strong><br></strong></p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Submission Deadline: January 15\, 2014<br></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Conference Date: March 15\, 2014</strong></p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Keynote Speaker</p>\n<p><strong>Willem deVries</strong></p>\n<p>University of New Hampshire</p>\n<p>Will be presenting:</p>\n<p><strong> &ldquo\;Hegelian Spirits in Sellarsian Bottles: Sellars' Variations on Hegelian Themes&rdquo\;</strong></p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p><em>Call for Papers</em></p>\n<p>We invite submissions on any philosophical topic\, and from any research tradition in philosophy. Papers should not exceed 3500 words or 30 minutes reading time. All submissions\, including a 150 word abstract\, should be prepared for blind review\, and should include a cover letter with the paper title and the author&rsquo\;s identifying information (including email and institutional affiliation).</p>\n<p>The deadline for submissions is <strong>January 19\, 2014</strong>. Papers may be submitted via email\, as .doc or .pdf files\, to <a href="mailto:philconf@kent.edu">philconf@kent.edu</a>. Those interested in commenting on a paper or moderating a session may email a statement of interest to the same address. Please direct any inquiries to the same address again.</p>\n<p>Local transportation and limited overnight accommodations with Kent State graduate students are offered (available on a first-requested\, first-served basis). A buffet lunch\, including vegetarian options\, is provided free of charge for all conference attendees.
