DESCRIPTION:<p>The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars working in any domain of Kant&rsquo\;s philosophy in order to explore the invaluable and incalculable legacy of Kant&rsquo\;s opus and its impact on development of analytic philosophy. We are interested in exploring the intersection of Kant&rsquo\;s three <em>Critiques</em> in order to understand how they complement\, or contradict\, each other\, and to analyze the systematicity in Kant&rsquo\; philosophical thinking. We also invite papers that deal with less prominent elements of Kant&rsquo\;s system\, such as his anthropology or his theory of education\, in order to explore his influence on development of humanities\, its themes\, methodologies and aims. Furthermore\, we are interested in exploring how Kant&rsquo\;s views impact contemporary scholars&rsquo\; work in areas such as aesthetic education\, cognitive sciences\, moral and political philosophy and psychology. </p>\n<p>The conference will take place at the University of Rijeka\, November\, 25th and 26th 2024. </p>\n<p>Participants of the conference will be invited to submit their papers to the special issue of the <em>Croatian Journal of Philosophy</em> dedicated to the conference.</p>\n<p>The conference will also feature an <em>Author Meets Critics</em> section on Lara Ostarić&rsquo\;s recent book\, <em>The Critique of Judgment and the Unity of Kant's Critical System</em> (Cambridge University Press\, 2023). If you are interested in participating (with a paper)\, please indicate this in your email. </p>\n<p>We invite submissions for 30 minute presentations\, followed by 15 minutes of Q&amp\;A. If you are interested in presenting your work\, please send the title and the abstract of 300 &ndash\; 500 words by June 15th 2024 to Iris Vidmar Jovanović (<a href="mailto:ividmar@ffri.uniri.hr">ividmar@ffri.uniri.hr</a>) Notification of acceptance will be sent out by July 1st.
