Do you have a postdoctoral project in mind that is a good fit with a mentor from the&nbsp\;Department of Philosophy&nbsp\;at the University of Sheffield? Then we welcome you to our Philosophy Postdoctoral Fellowship Open Day! Spaces are available for attendance both in person and online\, but please register your interest ASAP by completing the google form available via the External Site button on this page. Limited funding is available for tea/coffee\, lunch\, and travel expenses for attendees without another source of travel funding. Questions about the event may be directed to Ed Matthews (e.p.matthews@sheffield.ac.uk).</p>\n<p>The planned&nbsp\;<strong>event schedule</strong>&nbsp\;is:</p>\n<p><strong>9.30-10</strong>&nbsp\;Talk + Q&amp\;A from the Arts Research Hub about various postdoctoral schemes\, eligibility and application requirements\, and support offered by the University of Sheffield</p>\n<p><strong>10-11</strong>&nbsp\;Academic Talk 1 + Q&amp\;A by current postdoc\, Laurenz Casser\, with commentary by Komarine Romdenh-Romluc</p>\n<p><strong>11-11.15</strong>&nbsp\;Tea/Coffee Break</p>\n<p><strong>11.15-12.15</strong>&nbsp\;Academic Talk 2 + Q&amp\;A by current postdoc\, James Brown\, with commentary by Jules Holroyd</p>\n<p><strong>12.15-12.45</strong>&nbsp\;Q&amp\;A with 3 current postdocs about their experience applying for postdocs and conducting their funded research</p>\n<p><strong>12.45-13.45</strong>&nbsp\;Catered Lunch</p>\n<p><strong>13.45-14.30</strong>&nbsp\;Postdoc Proposal Workshop: 5 minute presentation + 5 minute discussion of prospective applicants&rsquo\; proposal ideas</p>\n<p><strong>14.30-15.30</strong>&nbsp\;Academic Talk 3 + Q&amp\;A by current postdoc\, Henry Schiller\, with commentary by Rosanna Keefe</p>\n<p><strong>15.30-15.45</strong>&nbsp\;Coffee Break</p>\n<p><strong>15.45-16.15</strong>&nbsp\;Meetings between prospective postdoctoral applicants and proposed mentors.
