DESCRIPTION:<p>We are pleased to announce the inaugural meeting of the Maryland Philosophy Conference</p>\n<p>(MPC)\, to be hosted by the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Towson</p>\n<p>University\, Towson MD. This one-day conference will take place on Friday October 18\, 2024\,</p>\n<p>and aims to provide a welcoming venue for philosophers to present their work\, and to engage</p>\n<p>with other scholars. Faculty (full-time or part-time) as well as graduate students and</p>\n<p>independent scholars are invited to participate. This event is free and open to the public. Lunch</p>\n<p>will be provided\, and the afternoon will include a reception for all attendees.</p>\n\n<p>Conference participants will have a total of 25 minutes to present their work\, and 10 minutes</p>\n<p>for questions. Abstracts on any philosophical topic are welcome\; sessions will be organized</p>\n<p>thematically. When preparing abstracts\, please remove any identifying information.</p>\n\n<p>Please submit abstracts of 500 words or less to Kristen Hine at khine@towson.edu by 11:59 PM</p>\n<p>EST on June 15\, 2024. Participants will be notified by August 1\, 2024. We ask that all attendees</p>\n<p>register for the conference no later than September 1\, 2024.</p>
