DESCRIPTION:<p>The "<strong>Dreaming minds - new perspectives on the relation between dreams and consciousness</strong>" student conference aims to bring together students and researchers in philosophy of mind and cognitive science\, in order to advance our understanding on the relation between dreaming and consciousness.</p>\n<p>In light of the advances in neuroscientific and psychological work on dreaming\, we aim to explore how these findings might bear on theories of consciousness\, on both human and non-human.&nbsp\; Topics of interest</p>\n<p>-The relation between dreams and imagination</p>\n<p>-Animal and nonhuman animal subjectivy and dreams</p>\n<p>-Theories of non-human animal consciousness and dreams &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The conference will take place 18-19 May 2024\, between 9 AM-&nbsp\; 9 PM\, local time for Bucharest\, Romania. Regular presentations will be 20 minutes long\, followed by 10 minutes long Q&amp\;A. It will have a mixed format\, in that speakers may choose whether they present online only or face to face at the event's location (if so\, their session will enjoy a live audience\, but it will also be streamed to remote participants).</p>
