He is the author of&nbsp\;<em>The Demands of Consequentialism</em>&nbsp\;(Oxford University Press 2001)\,&nbsp\;<em>Future People</em>(Oxford University Press 2006)\,&nbsp\;<em>Understanding Utilitarianism</em>&nbsp\;(Acumen 2007)\, and&nbsp\;<em>Ethics for a Broken World</em>&nbsp\;(Acumen/McGill-Queens University Press 2011). He is currently completing a manuscript for Oxford University Press entitled&nbsp\;<em>Purpose in the Universe: the moral and metaphysical case for ananthropocentric purposivism</em>.<br><br>Students and members of the Society who wish to dine with the speaker after the talk should email the Editor\, Professor Matthew Soteriou (m.j.soteriou@warwick.ac.uk)\, by the end of the week.
