DESCRIPTION:<p>We are pleased to announce the Second Pavia Workshop on Freedom\, to be held at the University of Pavia on 4-5 June. We will pre-circulate all ten papers (by 20th&nbsp\;May) and take them as read in the sessions. Each presenter will have 5 minutes to present their work and each discussant will have 10 minutes to comment. The rest of the time\, about 75 minutes\, will be a Q/A session. The workshop will be in-person only.</p>\n<p>The presenters will be:</p>\n<p>1) Constanze Binder - TBA</p>\n<p>2) Matteo Boccacci - Why Is Freedom Valuable?</p>\n<p>3) John Christman - The Social Structure of Freedom</p>\n<p>4) Annalisa Costella - Autonomy and Reliable Self-Attributability: How Pre-Commitment Limits Autonomy</p>\n<p>5) Nicolas Cote - Formal Representation of Rights ad the Measure of Illiberalism</p>\n<p>6) Michael Garnett - Inner Constraint&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>7) Akira Inoue - Citizen-Type or Non-Citizen-Type? Against the Moderate Conception of Freedom as Non-Domination</p>\n<p>8) Lars Moen - The Normative Significance of Freedom</p>\n<p>9) Nicola Riva - TBA</p>\n<p>10) Andreas Schmidt - TBA</p>\n\n<p>A detailed program will be provided later.</p>\n<p>Anyone wishing to attend the workshop is asked to register in advance.
