DESCRIPTION:<p>The Annual Cottingham Lecture for 2024 will be on &lsquo\;Meaning and the Good Life&rsquo\;\, delivered by Prof. Roger Crisp. There will be a lecture of one hour followed by half an hour for a question and answer session.</p>\n<p>Roger Crisp is Professor of Moral Philosophy\, Uehiro Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at St Anne&rsquo\;s College Oxford. He is also Director of the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics.</p>\n<p>Professor Crisp&rsquo\;s research is mainly on ethics\, including its history (especially ancient ethics and British moral philosophy since Hobbes)\, ethical theory\, metaethics\, and practical ethics.</p>
