DESCRIPTION:<p>The Technology Ethics eXchange of the NorthEast (te&chi\;nē) invites submissions of extended abstracts for an interdisciplinary conference on the ethics of technology\, to be hosted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Feb. 1-2\, 2025.</p>\n<p>Potential topics for submissions include\, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Philosophical research on the ethics of artificial intelligence\, the ethics of computing\, or the ethics of technology generally</li>\n<li>Social research on the impacts of technologies</li>\n<li>Interdisciplinary research in responsible computing and responsible technology development</li>\n<li>Scholarship on educational initiatives in responsible computing and STEM ethics\, such as courses\, modules\, workshops\, or masterclasses</li>\n<li>Pedagogical reports of success stories\, challenges\, and strategies for teaching ethics to students in technology-focused concentrations</li>\n</ul>\n<p>To submit an abstract (of no more than 750 words)\, please complete the following form: <a href="https://forms.gle/KXjHDXf2YmWPEh8A6">https://forms.gle/KXjHDXf2YmWPEh8A6</a></p>\n<p>The abstract submission deadline is <strong>November 1\, 2024 at 12:00am</strong> (anywhere in the world).</p>
