DESCRIPTION:<p>September 27th\, 2024 3:30pm - 5:00pm PST</p>\n<p>Abstract:</p>\n<p>Charles Sanders Peirce&rsquo\;s triadic semiotics (chance\, rules\, and creativity) is the foundation of my framework. I argue that role-playing games are a form of playful community inquiry that explores the psychology and ideologies of the players. I also highlight some connections between Peirce&rsquo\;s semiotics and the semiotics of psychoanalytic frameworks\, such as Carl Jung (psychology) and Jacques Lacan (ideology).</p>
