DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Conference Date: March 1\, 2025</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Keynote Speaker: TBA<br></strong></p>\n<p>The Kent State University Philosophy Department is pleased to announce its 32nd Annual Philosophy Graduate Student Conference in Remembrance of May 4th\, 1970. &nbsp\;This conference will take place in-person\, on March 1\, 2025. &nbsp\;We are excited to have Dr. Edward Casey (Stony Brook University) as our keynote speaker this year.</p>\n<p>We invite submissions from current graduate students on&nbsp\;<em>any</em>&nbsp\;philosophical topic and from&nbsp\;<em>any</em>&nbsp\;research tradition in philosophy. All submitted papers should: (i) not exceed 3\,000-words\, (ii) be prepared for blind review\, and (iii) be accompanied by a separate page that includes paper title and author information (name\, affiliation\, and contact information).</p>\n<p>We especially encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups\, including\, but not limited to: people of color\, women\, queer and gender non-conforming people\, people from economically disadvantaged groups\, and people with disabilities.</p>\n<p>Local transportation and limited overnight accommodations with Kent State graduate students will be offered (available accommodations will be allocated first-come\, first-served). &nbsp\;A buffet lunch\, including vegan and vegetarian options\, will be provided free of charge for all speakers. &nbsp\;This event is open to the public and free to attend.</p>\n<p>The deadline for submissions is: November 10\, 2024. &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>All submissions and inquiries should be emailed to Karl Palomino Flores (he/him):&nbsp\;kpalomin@kent.edu</p>\n<p>Download a PDF of the Call for Papers:&nbsp\;https://live-philconf.pantheonsite.io/sites/default/files/2024-08/CFP%202.png</p>\n<p><em>Funding Provided in part by Graduate Student Senate and Kent State University Research and Graduate Studies</em></p>
