DESCRIPTION:
Hegel considered the medieval dispute between realists and nominalists&nbsp\;to be of fundamental importance for philosophy and logic. In the&nbsp\;Lectures on the History of Philosophy\, he interprets it in terms of the&nbsp\;opposition between the universal and the individual. I argue that&nbsp\;Hegel&rsquo\;s treatment of the controversy opens up a new and ingenious way to&nbsp\;think about the philosophical bases of logic.
\n

\n
Zoom link:
\n
https://cuhk.zoom.us/j/97418441588?pwd=UGVFam9qNUFFUG1sVTVrZVEvak9Gdz09&nbsp\;
