DESCRIPTION:<p>The Philosophy of Social Science Roundtable is an annual event held in North America.&nbsp\; The conference is a small\, workshop style event.&nbsp\; Papers on any topic related to the social sciences\, broadly understood (as including\, for example\, social epistemology or social ontology) are welcome.&nbsp\; We especially welcome contributions from social scientists.</p>\n<p>This year's Roundtable will be run jointly with the Conference on Responsible Data\, AI\, and Social Systems.&nbsp\; The conferences will share four plenary speakers: Michael Kearns (University of Pennsylvania)\, Anita Allen (University of Pennsylvania)\, Avrim Blum (Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago)\, and Debra Mayo (Virginia Tech).</p>\n<p>We welcome extended abstracts (between 600-1\,200 words) for papers on any topic in philosophy of the social sciences\, especially those that tackle philosophical issues as they arise in\, and are consequential for\, practicing social scientists. &nbsp\;Please email submissions to&nbsp\;PSSRT2025@gmail.com no later than&nbsp\;December 15\, 2024. Abstracts should be blinded and attached to your email as a Microsoft Word document\; please include your full name and affiliation in the accompanying email.&nbsp\;</p>
