DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Theme</strong>: <strong>Aesthetic Journeys in the</strong> <strong>World</strong></p>\n<p>Aesthetic journeys in the world&nbsp\; are such that\, as they emerge\, not only do they define themselves but also define the world from which they emerge.&nbsp\; The definition is itself the work of aesthetics. All aesthetic media such as music\, painting\, dance\, sculpture\, architecture\, literature\, theater\, serve as excursions and play essential roles in the&nbsp\; constitution and illumination of the world from which they emerge. As inhabitants of the world\, human beings are necessarily implicated in these journeys. In them\, they constitute and illuminate what or who they are. &nbsp\;&nbsp\;<strong></strong></p>\n<p><a name="_Hlk176610414"></a>The Conference seeks to bring together those who are interested in sharing their perception and experiences of aesthetic journeys and in participating in conversations on this excursion.</p>\n<p>Abstracts are invited from any academic discipline and from those who are not associated with the academy. Diverse cultural presentations are welcome. Submissions from performing and non-performing artists\, artisans\, philosophers\, poets\, writers\, and applied aestheticians are welcome.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;Send abstracts of no less than 200 words to Murungi at: jmurungi@towson.edu. The deadline for submission is January 15\, 2025.</p>
