Call For Papers: Olfactory Philosophy\, April 30 - May 3\, 2025

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Nevada\, Reno will be hosting a workshop on Olfactory Philosophy April 30 - May 3\, 2025 at our Lake \;Tahoe campus \;(https://www.unr.edu/lake-tahoe). \;The workshop will bring together established and early career philosophers working on the chemosenses. \;

\n

We invite graduate students\, post-docs\, and early career researchers (within 5 years of attaining their PhD) to submit short high-quality papers for presentation in any area of philosophy related to smell\, olfaction\, taste\, or flavor. \;

\n

Those selected for presentations will be provided with room and board for the duration of the workshop.

\n

Submission Deadline: Friday\, January 31\, 2025 \;by the end of your day.

\n

Accepted submission will be notified by February 17.

\n

Please submit two separate documents. The first (prepared for blind review) should include the title\, a 400-600 word abstract\, and a 3000 word paper. Papers should be suitable for a 30 minute presentation. In addition\, please prepare a cover sheet with the following information: \;
