DESCRIPTION:<p>Dear all\,</p>\n\n<p>We are accepting submissions by&nbsp\;<strong>undergraduate students&nbsp\;</strong>for the 7th issue of&nbsp\;<em>Falsafa</em>\, the Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy at UC Irvine. Our goal is to invite undergraduates to write about marginalized or underrepresented topics of philosophy. This journal invites students to engage with topics that are lacking in philosophy curricula. We invite&nbsp\;papers&nbsp\;on any topic\, debate\, or figure in philosophical traditions that are under-represented or marginalized in the discipline</p>\n\n<p>Here&rsquo\;s a non-exhaustive list of traditions that we welcome submissions in:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Africana Philosophy</li>\n<li>Islamic Philosophy</li>\n<li>Chinese Philosophy</li>\n<li>Indian Philosophy</li>\n<li>Philosophy of Race and Gender</li>\n<li>Feminist and Marxist philosophy</li>\n<li>Philosophy of Sexuality</li>\n<li>Indigenous Philosophy</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>We also encourage submissions that compare the work of thinkers from aforementioned philosophical traditions with those commonly studied in the discipline (such as Plato\, Descartes\, Wittgenstein\, and others)</p>\n\n<p>Additionally\, we will be holding a conference in<strong>&nbsp\;May 2025\, on the 23rd of May</strong>\, hosted by the Philosophy Club at UC Irvine.</p>\n\n<p>*For reference\, take a look at the past/inaugural issues of&nbsp\;Falsafa:&nbsp\;<a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://falsafaorg.com/issues/__\;!!CzAuKJ42GuquVTTmVmPViYEvSg!IGaL7DM8TfeybT0FaHg9gXo1f6Pl5pxcR7XBDYi6qQPvtVozTftZw0GvlMf6btjekriaqd631Zp03h4$">https://falsafaorg.com/issues/</a></p>\n<p>Submission Guidelines</p>\n\n<ol>\n<li>Papers&nbsp\;should not exceed 3500-5000 words (including footnotes)\, in Times New Roman\, 12-pt font size\, and double-spaced. File containing the&nbsp\;paper&nbsp\;should be fully anonymized.</li>\n<li>Margins should be 1-inch (top\, bottom\, and sides)\, and insert page numbers in the top right corner. Citations should be in the Chicago format.
